dsl ◊ 2017-07-03 15:20	The low to mid versions were fairly nasty, but top versions like Ghia were quite good - we got them on bulk hire fairly often. Strange thing about the Ghia was no fuel gauge, only a small low level warning light, which caused problems. Agree quite a pretty car - I always thought it ironic that when Ford decided to actually make a decent replacement as the Focus, they created a very good car with pig-ugly styling and interior.
johnfromstaffs ◊ 2017-07-03 16:24	My Mum's Y reg 1.6 Ghia Auto was a lovely car, Caspian blue with a nice velour interior. Bought new, she kept it for about ten years and the only thing wrong with it was the horrible Ford variable venturi carburettor. It was bought to replace the Chrysler Two litre after Dad died and she disposed of the caravan. I did think that Escorts sort of went downhill after hers, the Focus was a good idea. Following a prang in 1992, I was lent an Orion 1.8 diesel by the firm. No fun at all. -- Last edit: 2017-07-03 16:37:06
