Neither team nor player are doing terribly well until Alex discovers that all he has to do is literally hope hard enough for Billy to hit the ball but this only works if he's attending the game in person! However, on the last game of the season, Alex is stopped by bullies who delay his departure long enough for him to miss the bus to the stadium! Can he make it or will Billy be on his own? A decent film, even if it does have the "last second at the bottom of the 9th arrival" cliche. Starring Roy Scheider and Justin Henry! The first television film made by Disney to be labeled as a "Disney Channel Original Movie".
