 That's correct. If I remember well, it was 1983.

 This car in the photo is Definately a Plymouth Gran Fury not a Dodge Diplomat. If you look closely at the name along the top of the Grille, the first letter is very close to left edge just as it is on a Plymouth car. The First Letter on a Dodge is further in.

I bought the car advertised on Ebay that was supposed to be in The mysteries of Pittsburgh film. I can't confirm if it was or not but it is a genuine ex police car.

The car is here in Australia & currently being restored with a Massachusetts County Sheriffs graphics.

 I have memories growing up going to my Czech step-grandparents house there on this neighborhood hill with their surreal kitchen and going to the Kennywood amusement park.
