Bast had written and published a biography about Dean in 1956 but since this was 1956, he did not mention the intimate aspects of their friendship. A revised version of this book in 2006 went into those details. Dean himself never flat-out said he was gay but he did say "I'm not a homosexual. But I'm also not going to go through life with one hand tied behind my back.", implying he was at least bi. Stars Stephen McHattie as James Dean and Michael Brandon as William Bast. Dean's real-life girlfriend, Christine White, has a small role as a secretary. This was her last movie before her death in 2013. Airdate: February 19th, 1976
