“In the corner on the left: Bentley R-Type? or Something else…”

Not in my opinion. Incorrect radio aerial. In any case, how would you tell it wasn’t a MkVI?

- Jag looks Mk.X
- Yes to green Cambridge A40 except probably an A50 in Aus, local build likely
- Yes to grey Farina. possibly Austin with early fins so their A55 Cambridge ADO9 which had the 1622cc engine of UK ADO38
= Probably Super Minx S3. Aus did not use Singer brand, so their Vogues were sold as Humber Vogues (which is kind of appropriate as Humber created the name in UK Vogues back in 1930s)
- Yes to Rover 3L - but I don't think there were local builds - ZA is the only non-UK country I know of (Mk1A and Mk2 phases)
- Zephyr is Z6. There's a story that after Ford Aus successfully built bucketloads of Mk2 Consuls/Zephyrs/Zodiacs, they were unimpressed by the proposed Mk3 design, so wanted to continue by developing their own facelifted Mk2 instead. But Dagenham wanted too much for all the now redundant Mk2 jigs and tooling, so Aus took a few CKD Z6s as a stopgap until they could create something completely their own, which emerged as their Falcon

US sedan looks like 1951 Chevrolet.

Interesting ;) Australian were to conservative.
Perso I prefer the design of the MkIII though it would be already a little bit old fashioned when launched in 1962.

During my years working in the motor industry I have seen hundreds of £k worth of tooling destroyed, “to stop the competition from using it”. OK as the material is recycled to make new, or lesser quality products, since much of it was high end steel. A bit of a blow when the customer suddenly remembers they needed a spares order!

Before any queries, I worked for a firm that was a first tier supplier, and some pressed items could be quite profitable, especially after the main production run, but once the press tools are gone, then it’s knife and fork, and that’s megabucks per copy.
