![]() I loved to watch this film with a beautiful and affecting Catherine Deneuve (Carole Ledoux in the story) and this panel of british cars of the sixties ![]() ![]() The gap between the fragility, the beauty of Deneuve and her psychotic behaviour disturbs a lot so the atmosphere isn't light at all, rather dull blue-green, and Polanski reach quite well his project to send the spectactators in Mrs Ledoux 's fears. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I watched the movie last night; as you all said before, it is a masterpiece. The use of background music and light, Deneuve's stunning performance, and the camera angles create an atmosphere that was never achieved again in cinema history. Though I am not the biggest Polanski fan I have to admit that this movie is both subtle and disturbing as well. |
