 I saw this film, and it was revealed that film is loosely connected to the film, /movie_72890-Dog-Day-Afternoon.html as two of the characters, bank hostage Miriam Douglas (portrayed by Marcia Jean Kurtz) and the officer who posed as a pizza delivery man (portrayed by Lionel Pina) had also appeared in the original 1975 film, playing the same roles.

That and film ties into the story of Nazi Plunder when the Nazis were seizing valuable works of art and treasure throughout Europe some of which belonged to Jewish families during their invasion of Western Europe in the early years of the Second World War and the business dealings between prominent members of the Nazi Party and Swiss bankers during both the War and the Holocaust, despite the Swiss claims of "neutrality".
