Quintessentially British take on the buddy action cop genre, that fortunately succeeds on this front. Unfortunately for the car chase front, we are only given a brief duel between 2 Astra police cars with very little note worthy action, which is a shame for a British film that had ample potential for a more gratifying chase sequence. |

The chase was not so bad, I found. But indeed they could have done better. That movie is quite funny... even quite crazy. More a parody movie than a real cop/action movie (like "Shaun of the Dead", with same main actor and from the same director). It's mainly a spoof, but I think they also tried to make it like a real action film, just like the way Scream was kind of a satire as slasher films, but is still a slasher film itself. |
