Original Irish assembled Wolseley Hornet, BZO809, used extensively as a background vehicle in scenes filmed on Synge Street opposite the school and outside the heroine's flat.

BZO 809 was June 68 Dublin issue, comes up as Hornet 998cc. So Mk3. Interesting about Irish assembly - I can believe it, but the only Elf/Hornet assembly I know of apart from Longbridge was in New Zealand.

Yes it would be a Mk III. Booth Poole in Dublin assembled Wolseley, Riley and MG cars for the Irish market up to the early 1970s.
The list price of the Hornet in 1968 was £799 including duo tone paint and leather interior (which this car retains though in poor condition).

Is it your car? And is the picture footage from the film itself?

I seem to remember a lot of Rover P6s in this movie, also the family's W123 wagon had a different license number in one scene (in the 12-A-3456 rather than XYZ 123 format).
