 For a 1975 film there's a distinct shortage of then-recent fire engines. Any obvious reason??

 One obvious possibility is that the film was made without co-operation from any fire brigade, or that no-one will willing to lend working appliances.

 Film was made with co-operation of Berkshire fire brigade , have a feeling some of these were reserve and some maybe hired in .
Fairly sure all the Karrier Gamecocks are Berkshires and certainly the AEC turntable ladder ,which was still 'on the run' in 1974.
However the Bedford SB originated with Birmingham FB .
