both uncle Otto are probably similar to this situation ( that user even tried to add books at some point ) the other two were added over 10 years ago, maybe the rules were more flexible back then ... ok, taking back the Otto thing.. the fact that its based on a Stephen King novel might place them in a different situation 1:42 was made by a certain George Lucas.. the doll one has Kathleen Turner in the casting... unless someone knows someone i don't really see how she would be in an amateur/student movie. i'm afraid a simple YT " movie critic " is not enough but its only my opinion .. -- Last edit: 2023-01-02 11:48:06 |

Also the first link is from George Lucas. Even if he was not famous then, the fact that he is known now legitimates listing the title. I'm not sure Josh Roessler is known enough for that. Regardless of the names attached, whether it be George Lucas or Stephen King, they are still student films which are listed here. One other contribution of mine is a home movie, a fact which I state in the comments section, and it was approved. That was only close to two years ago. Serial Santa has an imdb page and number, which should count for something. Also Baube, I'm 100% sure that Black Devil Doll From Hell's Kathleen Turner is a relative to the director, Chester N. Turner, who I'm fairly certain is less known than Mark Roessler. |

Nope, just another woman who happens to also be named Kathleen Turner. Similar to how there's probably dozens of Kevin Smiths, yet only one of them is the director of Clerks. |

They've expanded to podcasts and youtube channels, which is also a subject of debate for them. For some types of media it is easy for us, as it is not a type that we add, but for movies it is more difficult to judge without seeing it if there aren't many info. We can't really accept all amateur content either. Indeed the landscape of entertainment has evolved, we'll have to find ways to judge if a Youtube movie is eligible or not... Maybe we can also delete stuff that was accidentally added/accepted: for example from the links above, indeed I don't think that "Black Devil Doll from Hell" should be listed... I think that home/student/YouTube/whatever films should be acceptable as long as they meet the following criteria: 1. They have an actual plot with characters (ie, no instructional videos, documentaries) 2. At least one vehicle with a two-star listing is featured (so nothing with only one-star vehicles from stock footage) 3. Opening credits with the film's title 4. An imdb listing 5. A minimum video image quality of 360p |
