On kino-teatr the year is given as 1992 and the premiere was in February 1993. From my understanding it was produced in 1992 and came out in early 1993?

Darn it. I'm in a phase of collecting 1992-97 Russian films (around 1998 seems to be the time the 1993+ series of plates became more common, and for me that's where the post-Soviet era ends) and am trying to avoid the 1991/92 ones that were filmed in the USSR, but released in Russia.

Hence why I don't do any Russian films from 1991.

I know that too, but the least they could do is write it in English!

What did you expect from 90's postsoviet comedy? They was full of absurd, and thats probably some kind of joke.

Why?

Because I can't be sure if they were filmed in the RSFSR or already in the Russian Federation. I like post-Soviet movies over Soviet ones, but the vehicles shouldn't have too many 1993+ plates, or the movie is clearly from the "modern era" when the post-Soviet times were overcome.
