![]() ![]() This ultra-low-budget film is infamous for using footage of pretty much the entire climactic car chase from the 1974 film GONE IN 60 SECONDS. I only included the main cars, the Mustang and the Montego, on this list. ------------- Background vehicles: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Construction equipment: ![]() ![]() Distant shot of a parking lot: ![]() ------------- I'd recommend against reading the comment section below if you wanna spare yourself a headache, but, you do you. ![]() -- Last edit: 2022-10-05 05:11:09 |

Say, there's a problem here. As I told you, The Big Sweat reuses the Gone in 60 Seconds chase. Well, Deadline Auto Theft did the same thing and even more, and none of the vehicles from Gone are on the Deadline page. So what shall I do here? |

A good question and I'm not sure of an answer. Whilst we don't list duplicates in that movie, I know we have duplicates of the Red Heat bus chase for a number of movies. Deadline Auto Theft is also an odd case as the film is almost a director's cut of the earlier film with new scenes added in. This is a stand-alone film. I'd err towards listing the scenes on this page, though other admins may disagree so wait to see what they say. |

I'm not sure it matters too much whether we list the duplicates or give them pages - the most important thing is that there are clear cross-references to and from the source film, so that a newbie who flies in from nowhere can easily understand what's happened and can find whichever cars/entries they're interested in. If for whatever reason, the possible captures from this film are better quality than the source film, let them have pages here. |

Guess I'd have to do my usual job of putting "Taken from Gone in 60 Seconds (1974)" in the comments for each and every vehicle from that movie. ![]() Though I still hesitate only at the thought of adding the Ford Mustang. -- Last edit: 2015-08-04 06:18:32 |

Deadline Auto Theft was mostly made from footage from the other two movies from the same director, even if there was also new footage. In the end maybe we could some day list everything from that one... For others movie that simply re-use chase footage we list the cars because the re-used footage represents a smaller portion of the movie, and they are usually not related to the movie from which they take the footage (i.e. different director, cast, etc.) Now if this one re-use the whole chase (i.e. something like more than one hour of footage) then maybe it is not worth having all the cars duplicated here ![]() -- Last edit: 2015-08-04 20:23:02 |

Actually, it is only 35 minutes or something like that. It wouldn't bother me to do the job. -- Last edit: 2015-08-04 20:52:32 |

35 min is still a lot, that's a large part of the movie. Maybe just list the main cars of the chase then, but not the background ones taken from the other movie? |

You're right. It would be really easier that way! ![]() (edit 2022: gotta love how sarcastic I sounded while being absolutely sincere, lol) EDIT: Never mind. The Mustang is enough. -- Last edit: 2022-03-19 03:34:42 |

It's a Dodge. Fords look completely different, and GM vans didn't offer these doors. |

Okay. I added the van, just for the sake of it. -- Last edit: 2017-03-23 21:27:14 |

Since it's only background, just leave it in the comments. |

I replaced your pics. It helps it you put "replace" with any updated pics so we know. |

Will do next time, sorry. I posted about it on the forum and wrongfully figured it would be acceptable enough. Just to be clear, I just posted these pictures. These haven't been sitting around for months. ![]() -- Last edit: 2022-08-03 06:48:09 |

It just helps ID it as such, otherwise it might get missed as just additional thumbnails. Every now and then I do a search for the word "replace" and find any that we may have missed. |

That makes sense. Won't make that mistake again. |
