![]() ![]() 17 minute account of rebuilding a railway line, taken from ![]() BFi/British Transport Films Volume 7: The Age of the Train 2-DVD set. Not on imdb - perhaps because seems to be an internal BR staff film which would not have benn generally shown, but status confirmed here, and can be seen here or here. Rejects: - Escort NMk2 van and dumper; another crane truck ![]() ![]() - concrete mixer ![]() ![]() - stuff outside St Pancras at beginning and end of film - Ford D-Series and Bedford TK seem unusual bodywork?? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2017-07-12 04:54:23 |

Orange thing on rails in thumbs is a Johnson Dumper with road wheels swapped for rail wheels, worth a pic IMHO. But I may be the only person on planet with an interest in small British dumpers ![]() -- Last edit: 2017-07-11 15:46:43 |

With hindsight I suppose as converted it is not a road vehicle. |

Here's the set of captures of the Johnson Dumper I could get - there's two of them working together![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() No numberplates visible and maybe some bits of railway-not-road bodywork like the bumper-guards - suggests these examples may be purpose-built as rail-use only, without dual capability to swap bits for road use. |
