I'm sorry Ddey, I didn't know that. I got this movie one month ago but, until now, I didn't watch it. Sorry again. -- Last edit: 2010-03-24 21:16:44 |

They said the same thing to me, typhlosion. They also said this about A Thousand Clowns(1965) and A New Leaf(1971), and I'd love to add images from both. So, vilero, I'm perfectly okay that you beat me to this. You've got nothing to be sorry about. -- Last edit: 2010-03-24 22:46:23 |

I was wondering why this one hadn't been done already (until I tried to find it on Netflix, then I gave up). I love this movie! Great work, vilero. |

No. I have never heard of a woman being called 'Christopher'. We do have Christina, Christine, Cristina, Kristine, Kris, Chris, & maybe more I missed. That does not mean there aren't woman with that name; they are just uncommon. |

was it that bad ?? yes B-level 70s car chase movie but don't think it was that bad A-lister would be - Dirty Mary Crazy Larry - Vanishing Point - The Driver (1978) - The Blues Brothers - Gone in 60 Seconds (low budget indy movie but longest car chase put on film) - Duel (1971) - Smokey and the Bandit not chase but race themed - The Gumball Rally (1976) - Le Mans (1971) - Deathrace 2000 worthy mention - Hi-Riders (1978) - Fast Company (sole non horror flick of David Cronenberg) movies like Bullitt , The French Connection, The Seven-Ups have just 1 car chase so not much in the genre IMO -- Last edit: 2024-07-25 23:46:43 |

@mike962 I thought this movie was a long, never-ending car chase filled with wanton destruction, idiot cops and hormonal teenagers in dire need of lobotomy. Not what I needed for my headache. ![]() I had no expectations of the movie (in that all I knew about it was that Ron Howard was in it), but perhaps my problem was that the comedy didn't work for me, I didn't like that parts of the chase looked like Looney Tunes, and the only character I liked was the sheriff who was supposed to be the antagonist... I did like "Mabel", though. And the stunt with the car with the sheriff in it tumbling down the hillside was very impressive. Incidentally, if you want a looooong car chase in what is otherwise not a chase movie, try "$" (aka "Dollars"). It's been ages, but if memory serves, the chase goes on for some half an hour or so. It's a long time coming, though. |

Won't argue with your list, but I'd add these near the top - Fear Is The Key - magnificent chase, but rest of film is shite - Eyewitness - between (**cue drumroll**) a Land Rover and a Triumph Herald, but don't let that put you off - Goodbye Pork Pie and its successor Pork Pie |

Eat My Dust should not be mistaken as Smokey Bites the Dust which: Steals all of the chases from Grand Theft Auto, Moving Violation and Thunder and Lightning. And from Eat My Dust |

in this shot, on top you see the boom mic moving clearly they thought it will be just matted over ![]() -- Last edit: 2024-09-26 22:44:56 |

Not necessarily. Boom mics and such things wandering into a shot is sometimes just a goof. I should think that the makers of a low budget 1970s movie would certainly count on the movie being shown on TV and frame it accordingly. |
