Thought it looked like a Marina Estate, bit of Googling found this: https://www.fastmarinamagazine.com/viewtopic.php?t=8024 https://www.flickriver.com/photos/triggerscarstuff/sets/72157628513696683/ -- Last edit: 2020-03-30 01:43:43 |

Another film of this kind to look out for: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0070659/ As shown here, the main vehicle is a rare Albany, a veteran replicar made from the early 70s onwards: https://youtu.be/YzVVzieIl4Q |

Nice. Makes it look somewhat mean https://www.flickriver.com/photos/triggerscarstuff/6549824117/ |

I remember that issue. CAR was a dead cool magazine, a bit anarchic when all the other UK mags were very straight with no sense of humour (apart from Custom Car which had lots of ladies who didn't wear many clothes sprawled over purple metalflake Anglias). That Marina project was however a step too far which was widely laughed at. |

There is a pile of these somewhere in my wobbly archive, but somewhere around this time I had become infected by the old car bug, probably caused by driving Hillman Hunters, and stopped buying Car in favour of classic magazines. My 1962 Triumph Herald 1200 Coupé didn’t help either. This looks like exactly the sort of film I would have crossed several main roads to avoid seeing. -- Last edit: 2020-03-30 09:05:35 |

Thanks for suggesting it. Tough film to find, but eventually I've found it (only the DVD version). Might do it in a couple of days. |

Custom Car had the big disadvantage, compared with CAR, that they don't wrote about the K 70 I have to look in my literature collection, but I cannot remember any Custom Car issued - but of CAR I have a bunch. IIRC the most of them I digged under tables on spare parts markets in Belgium and Germany, ebay-deals aren't that much among them. I may look for Custom Car issues, but actually I'm too tired - the wild boar burger with asparagus plus the red wine and the Riga Balsam at the end need my whole mental capacity now. btw.: the burger meal was caused by Corona, supporting the local restaurants. -- Last edit: 2020-03-31 21:35:44 |
