I have never seen this being called Boss Cat on British television.

"Boss Cat" definitely was used as the titles on the screen (although the title song remained Top Cat just to confuse).

Top Cat at the time was the name of a tinned cat food and as it went out on the BBC their strict advertising policy at the time made them re-title it "Boss Cat".

It must have reverted back to it's original in the years since. I've never heard anyone over here call it "Boss Cat".

That car looks like a Ford Crown Victoria.

There was no such thing back then :p

By the way please don't quote thumbnail images, it's unnecessary and it takes up space.

There was a Crown Victoria but it had nothing to do with that one or current one :D http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Crown_Victoria_Skyliner

So in that case I think that the taxi is a Checker Marathon.
