Pugbug ◊ 2014-07-01 22:26	I sold my unrestored 1973 VW thing to the production company.The hero picture car may have been a 1974,I dont remember.They wanted a thing to sink off shore.I was living on Tybee Island,Georgia.This is where alot of the movie was shot.Jessica Tandy and Bridget Fonda rode around in the red VW Thing.After they re-painted my car,the Coast Guard made them drain all fluids from the body,so it would not foul up the waters off Savannah.John J. Potter of Tybee had 3 other picture cars at the time.
