1993 3-part comedy/satire/eco-drama filmed in Aus, written by Ben Elton from his novel of the same name, and directed by Nadia Tass (Malcolm, The Big Steal, Mr. Reliable etc) whose films are always worth watching. I was hooked on this series when it came out, but revisiting now is disappointing - some plot holes, strange sequencing etc. Rumours that it was meant to be a bigger series, but budget was chopped during filming so had to stitch together some of what they had. But some nice cars included - Nadia obviously was an enthusiast.

I get the impression of some Toyota product placement, but no mention in credits.

Bburago Ferrari model in ep2 midpoint - there's also a blurred Bburago Merc SSK in the same sequence

Planes for imcdb:

1] ep 1, 03-30 - probably stock US footage (although might be Aus)
[Image: e103-37.jpg] [Image: e103-37b.jpg]

2] ep1, 03-40 - stock airport footage, probably US - it's supposed to be Los Angeles/California

3] chopper used by the evil De Quincey (it's not really clear whether he's a mentally unhinged and inbred English aristocrat or a far-sighted visionary with a heroin habit) in eps 1 & 3:

6] ep2, 28-15 - again probably stock US footage (although might be Aus)

Postscript - this blurred white (police?) car in a scene in ep2, 08-00 when an apartment in "New York" gets blown up, along with a very blurred and impossible-to-capture-usefully big fire engine. As this is the best shot possible of the car, it doesn't get a page.

Not sure, as it's a 747-412 of Singapore Airlines operated also on Australia's routes by the company (Melbourne, Adelaïde, ..)

Yes. No other NYC airport would match with this background landscape.
