If stating that it's a "Lang" (Ger: stretched) version, would it be possible to have a thumb showing just that? The tiny chrome strip beneath the bumper was only used the first MY's, that is from 1968 on. Two versions were made: - 1968-73 Mercedes-Benz 220 D Lang [W 115]. - 1969-73 Mercedes-Benz 230 Lang [W 114] http://wiki.mercedes-benz-classic.com/index.php/Kategorie:W114/W115 . If sure it's a [W 114], as stated, it can only be the second alternative. Is it possible to here that it's a petrol engine? |

In Italy 99% were Diesel so I believe a 220 DL (W115) if no more documented. -- Last edit: 2016-03-06 18:42:15 |

I'm not at home right now, but as soon as possibile (tomorrow) I will post the additional views, in which side and rear are clearly visible. The rear model badging is also visible, but I don't know if it's also clearly readable... |

It was possible to find the film on the Tube, and about 24 minutes it's possible to hear the driver starting the engine. Clearly no Diesel. I believe this is a 1968-73 Mercedes-Benz 230 Lang [W 114], and not a Diesel. |
