26 PE was late 63 issue, so this should be 356C 1600C or 1600SC??? (Plate now on a SILVER 2014 MINI MINI COOPER SD 3 DOOR HATCHBACK)

Footage taken from what looks like a very interesting 8-minute 1969 British Transport Films "Motorsport Tries Motorail" feature - "the London & Torbay Motor Clubs compete for the 'Motorail Trophy' over the 4-5 May 1968. The London club members are filmed travelling with their cars by train down to Newton Abbott, and competing against the Torbay club members in a hillclimb (up Oddicombe Hill) on the first day and the time trials on the second day." - from Link to "autoshite.com" some way down the page - lots of very good screen grabs.

1961+ T6 body for sure, due to the front lid square shape. Looks like having the wheel rims and "flat" hubcaps of a 1964-65 C.

@dsl:
As the C replaced the B in the summer of 1963, this could match the late 1963 plate...

Even the colour (Golfblau) is a late one, used even on early 901 and 911 models.
