With the wrecked Frégate in tow.

The louvres look typical… of what?

@ DidierF:
Due to the shape of the hood grid and the one of the fenders, it could be more likely a 1942-45 Ford V3000 / B3000 with the 1943+ simplified hood and fenders.
B would mean a 4-cylinder engine, V a V8. Said here to have been made in Germany, France, Belgium and Holland

But Alexander mentioned post-war models and French versions of these ones (he is no longer part of the IMCDb crew since 2008, so we can't ask him for more details), so I tried to dig a little more: as Visa pour l'enfer is a French movie shot in France (Marseille?), couldn't this truck be a 1945+ Ford F198 T? If so, it would make it the 3rd one identified in the IMCDb...

(The 1½-tonne F198 T - F for France- had a "big brother", the 5-tonne F598 T. The latter is more present in the IMCDb but some models could have been mis-identified).

:D

(As said by DidierF, no payload difference between the F-198 T and the F-598 T: it's only a matter of model years... The 3.5-tonne F-798 T was also available from 1947 onwards)

@ DidierF:
For the record, all models shown in the Ford 3T5 category look more like 1942-47 ½-ton and 2-ton US models than to the French ones shown in the link you gave... Anyway, this one can't be a "3T5", as its headlamps are on the fenders, not in them. If a 1946 model, then it fits the F-598 T already mentioned (see the RTA excerpt).
