With those wheels,it's at least a D-200.....and also was used for hauling a slide-in camper? (Extended rear bumper) |

@ mike962: do you mean Adventurer? This one doesn't seem to have this trim ![]() Sweptline bed option. So only D-100 or D-200, nothing "heavier" as single cab ![]() -- Last edit: 2015-03-22 22:42:42 |

I don't question what you saw, I'm just wondering about how this name could have been put on a pickup that looks really basic compared to the one of the brochure. |

Ok, understood. As often, there as been a kind of "inflation" in names for the 1971 model year: • "premium" Adventurer trim became Adventurer Sport; • a less glossy Adventurer SE trim was unveiled; • Sweptline models with minimalistic chrome trim gained the Adventurer name; • Custom and Special trims were added too. So "ours" is a 1971 Adventurer. The Sweptline complement seems not to be useful, as apparently all Adventurer models had the Sweptline bed option. -- Last edit: 2015-03-23 00:59:02 |

@ Mike962: your link gives the episode 4.03, in fact, but it looks like the same pickup was reused as background car here in the episode 4.04: they have both the same color and the same black spot on the rear side. And a trim name can be read on rear of the fender (most certainly Adventurer?).![]() (00:26:38) Episode 4.03 (in which it's more used): ![]() ![]() ![]() (00:01:04 // 00:02:20 // 00:02:34 - ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2015-03-23 01:14:02 |
