Yes. Zephyr, probably 4 as no trim strip across between rear lights. Maybe C plate = 65.

I've read somewhere (I can't remember off hand if it was in some book or if it was here on the imcdb) that all Mk3 Estate cars were based on the Zodiac, which can be noticed if one have a look at the rear door. As it hasn't a quarter light it's a Zodiac door, if it had it could have been a Zephyr.

What I meant is this: Does that qualify all Mk 3 Abbott conversions to be Zodiacs?

No. Branding and specifications followed their saloon equivalents with all the other differences in body fixtures, so Z4 had basic trim and 1703cc 4 cylinder engine (hence the name), Z6 had much the same basic trim as Z4 (or perhaps mildly upgraded interior??) with some tweaked exterior trim (grille, gentle increase in side and rear chrome) and the 6 cylinder engine. Zodiac had Z6 oily bits but luxury interior, new grille, lashings of chrome. So each are fairly distinctive. I don't know in what state Ford shipped the various unconverted cars out to Abbotts (finished or unfinished) or what they actually where (I can't imagine a fully fledged and finished Zodiac saloon being stripped down and switched to a Z4 estate - too complicated/expensive and would have wiped out profitability). My guess is Ford sent out normal Z4s, Z6s and Zodiacs with extra supplies of Zodiac rear doors as the most effective/economic method. As Abbotts were going to butcher the roof and rear wings, it probably made little difference whether they attacked Zephyr or Zodiac configurations with the big scissors.
