But its a Chrysler, who cares (I know I'm gonna get hell for this one), if it doesn't wear the Blue Oval it doesn't mean anything to me. Oh and about the new members, i rekon thats the new wikipedia article, and people making a typo when typing imdb in. antp ◊ 2006-08-24 15:43	I do not agree, these have a high importance in the movie and are seen a lot (explaining the 4 stars), but the movie is about the characters rather than the cars, and they are not famous enough to be seen as being "part of the movie".

A two door hardtop in those colors? Wow. Those smooth round flanks are sensational... this car looks positively massive, and beautiful. 440mgnm ◊ 2013-01-17 10:48	I believe the actual number was three Newports. All destroyed during production. One burned, one rolled down a ravine (alternate ending) and as for the third, i believe it was actually totalled when rusty nail forced it up against the tree. I don't believe they were actually able to continue using that one. It's a crying shame. This car is one sexy lady.

drh4683 ◊ 2013-09-27 22:03	I love full size Mopars. Those three Newports they ruined could have been enjoyed and taken care of by collectors. So few of them exist today and they get destroyed for a useless movie that nobody even cares about. Such a shame.
