These are fairly common as taxis today, along with the Chrveolet Lumina, Oldsmobile Acheiva, Mercury Grand Marquis, and old Lincoln Town Cars. Especially for lower budgeted cab companies. I've even seen a few old 1987-90 Caprices and Impala's cruising the streets in minicab livery within the last few years.
