Careful there, andrepa. Montego and Galaxie are not equivalent. Montego is a mid-size; Galaxie is a full-size. They were very similar, but I think I've teased out a key difference. On this car the crease in the tailgate is even with the bottom of the white reverse lights, which makes it a full-size. Mercurys and 1970 Ford full-size had different taillights, so this must be a 1971 Ford full-size. Not every '71 Ford had that lettering: Link to "i253.photobucket.com" I think enough trim is visible at /vehicle_544022-Chevrolet-Vega-1971.html to call it a Country Sedan. |
