I'd put the Clio II at 1999 (introduced September 1998) |

Sorry Gamer, but the Clio II was introduced in March 1998 in France ![]() -- Last edit: 2024-12-22 23:48:30 |

Uno reverse card? ![]() https://www.leboncoin.fr/ad/collection/2762334470 https://www.leboncoin.fr/ad/collection/2591396153 (I've found two versions of each 'gamme' brochure, but with the same models. I believe the fold out one with the recalling of the introductions and the 'pour le millessime' is a press folder and the other is a standard issued brochure) -- Last edit: 2024-12-23 18:43:29 |

The 1999 range was also slightly different from the first MY: new trims were added, new headlights for higher spec trims etc. |

Yes, I was about to say, in December 1998, the line was updated, 11 months after it was introduced (January 98, on sale March) but decided not to post this link as to not muddy the waters any further. I would consider that a mid-term, late 1999 MY update because already in May, the new range was out: http://www.lesrenaultdepapier.fr/clio_ii.htm Honestly I think there's no use telling for sure unless you have the full range brochure with the year on the cover ![]() -- Last edit: 2024-12-23 19:27:20 |

I appreciate the Uno citation ![]() I would be curious to know when were those brochures printed and if there was another one in between them. Anyway I'm not sure that a 1999 (calendar year) brochure would necessarily mean 1999MY, also notice that first year in that link still is 1998, and as already said there were already changes for 1999. |

It's rather strange that the new Clio isn't mentioned in the 99 brochure. Around the time the 98 model year began for the Clio I, the Clio II was finished and leaked: https://static.livre-rare-book.com/pictures/QKY/100843.jpg This is strange because in this 1991 brochure dated October 90, the new Espace is already revealed, even though it wouldn't go on sale for another five months. So why was Renault so shy sneak peeking it this time around? Link to "www.delcampe.net" The 98 brochure...The Megane Cabriolet was launched in April 1997, the Kangoo in October: https://fr.shopping.rakuten.com/photo/856227167.jpg The 206 was pushed back to the summer of 1998 as a 99 - I don't know why, might that prerelease badge have something to do with the fact that it wasn't quite done yet? ![]() -- Last edit: 2024-12-27 00:03:00 |
