Short bed of a ½-ton indeed, meaning a 1947-48 Thriftmaster / 1949-55 3100 (both with a 3104 chassis code) if Chevrolet or a 100 if GMC (chassis code FC-101, 101-22 or 101-24, depending on the model year). The vent window indicates a 1951+ model.
