Nice, one of my favorite Alfas after the 166. Completely forgot about it. It's so nice and baroque, even though I mostly cannot stand the seventies. -- Last edit: 2024-12-09 20:55:54 |

A somewhat strange car, but fascinating also for that reason. Conceived in parallel with the Alfetta 10 years before its effective launch, it marked the debut of the prestigious 'Busso' V6 engine |

I'm aware it's far from being perfect especially when compared to its period competitors but if I ever had to choose an Alfa the 6 would be on my top list too. |

Prices are rising up, it seems that the classic car market started to appreciate it. Some good occasions can ben found in Eastern Europe, where most unsold examples were exported years after its discontinuation |

Like often happens with overlooked/underrated/unsuccesful cars. Then, it was ready for 1973 but got delayed due to the energy crisis, I'm sure it would have had a different consideration if it was on the market some years earlier. Anyway, it always had a big fascination on me, and in my area I used to see a runout 1987 Turbodiesel a few times a year, until circa 2009. It's one of my all times favorite spots. |
