[W111] 220 S (or SE), 1960-1966. The headlights and extra indicators look like a US version, but I guess these were used for the Swedish market as well. Rpcm will know when exactly these indicators were introduced. |

I regret, but I'm not able to answer that question. From what I've seen, it seems almost all US-spec cars have them. Giving the date of the film, the 230 S was also available from 1966MY. |

In Sweden the cars had to have (except a plenty of more safety-equipment like safety-belts, headrests, right mirror, laminated windscreen, mudflaps, after 1973 the lamp-washer-systems, etc.) H4-light, but I don't know the year, when this rule was introduced. As I know, the regular W 111-lamps weren't H 4, since they haven't the shape for it. |

If it hadn´t been for the extra indicators, I would have thought the headlights had been replaced. This was popular in the 70´s but mostly done on W108. I suppose this car is a private import from the US since it has got both headlights and indicators for that market. Regular imports for our market used same headlights as german home market. About H4 lamps I´m not sure either, but it was later, probably mid seventies. |
