Who doesnt like these old Sierras? they are still so cool |

Me for one, Adrián – I’ve had to drive a couple of them, both 2 litres; went like hell in a straight line but the handling was nothing special; and the headlights were useless, on British ones anyway. They’re pretty rare now in the UK. |

Well but, aside from those details, dont you like the general shape and look of it ? |

Not much; I thought the first Mondeo was an improvement (and they've got better-looking with each mark, which is more than I can say for the Sierra). Lo siento, Adrián; sobre gustos no hay nada escrito … -- Last edit: 2008-04-10 22:25:11 |

Hmm i really like these Sierras and the Scorpio too, but well, as you perfectly say sobre gustos no hay nada escrito |

Two door Sierra - rare as... Weren't they only 1.3 and 1.6? This one looks like it has post '85 or GL+ lights; the ones in the UK were only made with the '82 launch 'jellymould' grille and lights. |

Also available with 2.3D engine (never seen one myself).3dr was introduced a year after sierra launch and finished before the facelift that this one has had bolted on |

I like the three-door Sierra, same shell was used in one of my favourite car models, the original big wing Sierra Cosworth. |

A matter of taste. For me it's one of the ugliest cars ever. A reason, why i decided in 1982/83 to stop to be interested in actual cars (I use to do this until now). Once I had a fight with a class-mate (I was 12 years old). He was so proud about the brand new Sierra, his father had bought, but I said a lot of nasty things, that finally he started to cry and to beat me. But I was bigger... |

That's easy: Me! |

Ok the old good disagreement is back. Styling will always be a matter of taste but we can at least agree to that: Sierra was a big improvement (talking efficiency) over Taunus/Cortina predecessors and brought Ford in modern times as it should.. |

I've owned one also (for a short time) terrible car! I much preferred my Cortina Mk.IV |
◊ 2009-04-01 20:59 |
Naah, I cannot really agree. The Sierra looked modern due the f..ing plastic all around, but the technic underneath was neither real modern and surely not high-tech. So a bit a dazzler or imposter. |

But it was aerodynamickly updated to it's time.. -- Last edit: 2009-04-01 21:16:59 |

Looks like the 1983-84 bumpers and front fascia. Or am I off my rocker? |
