1954 Carrera Panamerica, #8 works 100 S (OON 439, originally a 100 S prototype, but this was debut event for 100 S as production model), Shelby/Jackson-Moore, retired after big crash (but you might have guessed this already) - was repaired and continued as works car into 1955. Probably also seen here. The other works entry was Macklin/Healey in #7, disqualified, and was NOJ 393 which became notorious in 1955 Le Mans for initial involvement in the Levegh crash with Macklin again; the car still survives. |
