It's a 1963 "Coupe de Ville" but with non-authentic, extra, stainless steel rocker trim. To the left is an unidentfiable model from 1961. |

The car that just hit the '63 Coupe driven by Richard dreyfuss is a '61 Coupe I believe was driven by Danny Diveto, |

The lower rocker moldings are a nice touch. They would be easily used from a '63 Eldorado to give the car a Eldorado Coupe Seville look since there never was a hard top Eldorado Coupe for that year. |

Makes me wince how many times this Caddy got damaged during the movie. I always thought the wheels/tyres looked further apart than on the standard car, in the lead image it's got a touch of the Pontiac wide track about it |

This car should have at least a 4 star rating and so should the yellow 61 coupe. Richard Dreyfuss and Danny Devito get into an accident(Dreyfuss's fault),and it sets off a crazy get even feud between the two in which they damage each others cars in spite several times. Danny Devito's wife "Nora" played by Barbara Hershey even gets in on it and backs her 59 Chevy into the 63 several times. This is a Great movie for classic Cadillac buffs and there are serveral other great cars seen throughout the film. The movie takes place in 1963 so you can imagine all the neat cars you'll see. Its a funny movie to wach too. -- Last edit: 2010-12-01 22:42:27 |
