And this - where is it? I haven't seen the movie. Looks more like Brasilian VW. |

This is Brazil. It has 'MAN' on the fenders. Edit: I think I am wrong. It says 'IMAVI'. It looked like MAN in that font. So VW is possible. ![]() -- Last edit: 2007-10-09 20:39:27 |

Yes a VW, second pic confirms that. Seems VW use for this truck heavily modified cab of the old MAN-VW truck. |

Yes, the actual L 80 is based on it. The most versions of the Brazilian VW-truck had this MAN-VW base. And the design of the MAN-VW is going back on the first LT from 1975. |

If it is heavily modified I guess it could be considered as Brazilian vehicle rather than German one? |

Yes, it's a complete Brazilian made truck. There was even not an official export to Europe. The big VW-trucks and buses are 100% Brazilian like the Brasilia, the Gol and so on. |

Titan series here is a L80, the cab of these models,VW and VW Man; made in Germany and Brazil is a LT 1st serie modified. This cab was used on Peterbilt and Kenworth too ![]() This one is a constellation made in Brazil too, engine is International and gearbox ZF ![]() I take these pictures last week in VW Bus Meeting in Hannover and have the opportunity to step in the Constellation cab ![]() -- Last edit: 2007-10-15 07:25:37 |
