Wondering if these ones are the same but painted yellow?
/vehicle.php?id=570754
/vehicle.php?id=657127
/vehicle.php?id=785758

The arm and platform both still being white lend some support to this hypothesis.

The company that rents it out calls it a F-650 which seems to be a mis-ID as I can't find reference to a F-650 being available in 1980 (though I am not an expert on American trucks) so they could all be this F-600.

@ Sandie:
All detail match, so it must be the same truck: first as white model, at the time of this episode, and then repainted in yellow. And the inner part of the A-pillar of the truck rented by CVS appears to still be white...

About the model name, Wikipedia says:
Quote For the 2000 model year, Ford introduced the medium-duty variants of the Super Duty lines to replace its F-600, F-700, and F-800 that were discontinued in 1998.

And I never saw a brochure about the 1980-98 medium-duty F-Series showing any reference to an F-650 model.

But if CVS is wrong about the name, the "range" given to this truck could also be an error. What would make it an F-600 over an F-700 or an F-800?

F-600 comes from the plate check quoted in the first post (the truck wears a genuine plate in thumbnail rather than the fake one at the main) rather than an assumption from CVS's F-650 description. My thinking was that (assuming there was no mistake in the registry) as we 'knew' this one was an F-600 if it was confirmed to be an earlier appearance of the mis-ided "F-650" belonging to CVS we could apply that ID across the three other appearances (I changed them from F-650 back to F-Series when I realised CVS's description was dubious.

Carfax apparently don't give (anymore?) a result for CA 1X52208? But I won't try with the other 49 states :)

It's on the Smog test database: http://www.bar.ca.gov/pubwebquery/vehicle/pubtstqry.aspx (I guess Carfax doesn't list plates that have been inactive that long, this presumably is no longer on the road due to being used mostly for film work?).

Thanks for reminding me that webtool, Sandie. I never think about it...
