Busses were produced under the name GMDD (General Motors Diesel Division). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Motors_Diesel_Division_Buses http://www.canadasouthern.com/caso/diesel-geeps.htm There are quite a few references saying that GMDD was used. |

This is a 4501 Scenicruiser made by GM for Greyhound exclusively. They were all built in 1954-56, about 1000 built. They originally had two 4-71 Detroit Diesels linked together thru the tranny. Later they were rebuilt by Marmon-Harrington when D.Diesel introduced the V8-71 series. The hound ran them for 25 years. They were a trademark/signature for Greyhound. dr. g. |
