B-Series LCF. Here's a GMC version of the same truck: /vehicle_552283-GMC-B-Series.html http://www.6066gmcguy.org/Bmodel.htm -- Last edit: 2013-02-03 02:43:18 |

1960-66 Chevrolet "common LCF" (Low Cab Forward) trucks were the L-Series models. But indeed, this truck is a 1962-66 LCF E-80 (Diesel engine, 121"/3.07 m to 181"/4.56 m wheelbase, up to 51,000 lbs/23 t GCWR). Or W-80 if tandem (which is not visible in this picture). (A "lighter" A-60 has been unveiled in 1965. But the "Route 66" TV-Series was broadcast from 1960 to 1964...) There is apparently no truck with that identification in the IMCDb. Should we create a Chevrolet E/W-Series category (E and W always together, for the 1962-66 W-Series models not to be confused with the more recent ones), or, as all E/W-Series trucks are 80 models, isn't it more relevant to have just a Chevrolet E/W-80 identification? ⇒ 1963 Chevrolet E/W-80? ⇒ 1963 Chevrolet E/W-Series? -- Last edit: 2015-01-19 01:06:41 |

Yes why not E/W-80 if that's the most accurate name |

Oops! I wrote the previous comment in 2 times and I didn't check enough before posting it. Sorry, pardon, Entschuldigung, disculpe Although TrucksPlanet gives 1963 as first model year, Chevrolet literature says 1962: ⇒ 1962 Chevrolet E/W-80 -- Last edit: 2015-01-19 22:17:57 |
