Mark Knopfler soundtrack. Filmed in Eire (Drogheda in County Louth and Navan in County Meath). None of the number plates work on check sites, although all match NI sequences which were issued at about the time their respective vehicles were new. However I guess they're clever fakes, somehow selecting dead plates to attach to RoI cars. Reject Sierra |

Set in Northers Ireland I presume also for the soldiers presence. I remember red plaptes in Eire at the time. |

Read the novel back in secondary. I had no idea it was adapted into a film and only learned of it now. I'm surprised they were able to adapt it so quickly (the novel was published the year before). One of the things I remember from the book was that the love interest of the protagonist drove an Anglia which is seemingly left out of this adaptation. |

They began filming Christine two months before the book came out and finished a week before its publication. |
