![]() 1978 made-for-TV historic drama about Lee Harvey Oswald's assassination by nightclub owner Jack Ruby just days after the former assassinated President John F. Kennedy and the events leading up to it. Based entirely on the Warren Commission, it focuses on Jack Ruby's life in the days leading up his assassination of Oswald. While being questioned in police custody, he told them that he did impulsively, out of love for President Kennedy, and to spare Jackie Kennedy the pain of Oswald's trial. Whether or not this is the truth has been disputed for decades since. Playing Jack Ruby and Lee Harvey Oswald are Michael Lerner and Frederic Forrest, respectively. John William Galt has a small role in this film. He was also in The Trial of Lee Harvey Oswald the previous year and later appeared in the Oliver Stone film JFK. Set from November 21st -24th, 1963 Airdate: February 8th, 1978 |

Was it really so hard in 1978 to find all-1963 and earlier models? |

The 1964 models at least can be excused as being brand-new cars as the film takes place in November 1963. You should see The Deadly Tower. Set on August 1st, 1966, yet almost half the cars are post-1966 models! The police cars are mostly brand-new '75 Fords. |
