More screenshots and information are available at Jalopnik: http://jalopnik.com/394718/the-cars-of-death-race The cars are cool, so that's one point in favor of this movie. Otherwise, I'm going to withhold judgement for now. EDIT: There's also a section about the cars on the official movie website: http://www.deathracemovie.net/ Click on Enter The Site >> The Race >> View the Vehicles. It was all rather slow for me, but that may just be my connection. -- Last edit: 2008-08-22 00:37:37 |

A very good movie, btw, one car is not listed, as there are nine racers, but only eight pictured here (BMW, Buick, 300, Ram, Mustang, Jaguar, Trans Am, 911) which one is missing? |
◊ 2008-11-03 06:41 |
There should be two Buick Rivieras - the 1967 and a 1971 "boattail." |

The lot is Aadlen Brothers Auto Wrecking in Los Angeles, Hollywood's favorite junkyard. We've visited it on IMDb probably dozens of times. If a Hollywood production has involved filming in a large junkyard, it's probably Aadlen Brothers. Among other artifacts, they own one of the mechanical sharks from "Jaws." Have they used the real cars or just custom build things? -- Last edit: 2014-03-31 20:30:40 |
◊ 2015-09-13 22:36 |
could it be that they didn't crush it because it's very rare and instead put it on that wall ??? perhaps they do have a policy in that junkyard that such cars can be very valuable for spare parts or whole for collectors as they are very rare -- Last edit: 2015-09-13 22:38:07 |

Really? 2008? I thought this was much older. Or maybe I just feel old. But from my memory of watching this half asleep, It was very gore-y. Or maybe it was all a hallucination. But here all I remember: A BMW drifting into spikes that shoot up from the road. A semi truck cutting up a girl in the Porsche. A scene on a train with the guy in the mustang. A flipped Dodge. That's it. But most of it was probably caused by sleep craze. It wasn't even my DVD. I was watching it at my friends house. But for real, Why would anyone compete in a race where you will very likely die? I don't remember why they did. |

because most of those had life sentence and some are also psychopaths who love the thrill and killing remember in vintage Rome some Gladiators who earned their freedom voluntarily returned to those deadly games -- Last edit: 2017-01-19 19:34:35 |

Probably the only movie from Paul W.S. Anderson that I can tolerate. Apart from Event Horizon, practically everything he's directed since then has either flew past my head or outright infuriated me beyond compare. While I'd hardly call this movie "good," it's at least enjoyable to an extent. |
