Another Bill Forsyth project from when he was a young lad, filmed in 1970 and included as an extra on 2014 BFI reissue of That Sinking Feeling on DVD. Basically looks like a film school project, and again he's an actor (after previous KH-4

First few minutes are quirky and a bit avant-garde for its time (ma unoticed in background climbs over bridge railings and throws himself into the River Clyde, a girl in very short dress is clearly not wearing any knickers) but after that it just loses direction and becomes a miserable film about a miserable student who is acted miserably by Bill. Just as well he had a talent for directing.

Some interesting street footage around Glasgow centre for comparison with today - lots of recognisable locations. A blink-and-miss-it tribute to KH-4 when knickerless girl pulls a poster off the wall

In those days you could drive into Central Station - see Escort in distance, which is followed by a taxi. I also liked the Clyde view without M8 Kingston Bridge.

When I remind our last SCO-trip there were some UK-made cars, trucks and other vehicles, but except Jaguars and MINIs (and the classic car meeting at the Mull of Galloway lighthouse) at least none origin British vehicles any more. Not only the British trucks have disappeared ( /vehicle.php?id=155139 ), cars and vans either. Ah, before I forget: a handfull of 90ies and 00ies Rovers and MGs were left over, but not in remarkable amounts.

How can you state that the Capri has a vinil roof ? I can only see the front of either a Ford Classic (I was thinking about a rarer statndard equipment vehicle) without idea of the roof style.

No Consul Capri ever left the factory with a vinyl roof so must be home-made. There was a Hooper luxury conversion (about 40 built) - https://www.flickr.com/photos/22087304@N07/6948841307/ , http://www.classic-chat.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=188 - but they did not have vinyl either. That was just how the cookie crumbled. There were a lot more cars in the longer street views as brief/blurry/fraction glimpses, but I limited it to things which could be securely ID'd, usually with (some degree of) legible plate info. And I did not actually notice much foreign stuff anyway.
