1993 made-for-TV sports comedy drama about an aimless homeless man who coaches a Little League baseball team at their insistence. At first he refuses to speak so the players name his Jackie, after Jackie Robinson. After spending the summer helping the boys with personal problems, most of whom reside in the nearby trailer park, he rescues one of the boys from drowning triggering a blocked-off memory of his own daughter drowning, something that made him check out from society. He begins to put his life back together, discovering that he was a player for the Kansas City Athletics! Starring Burt Reynolds and Reba McEntire!
