1993 made-for-TV disaster movie based on the 1991 Oakland firestorm that swept through northern Oakland, California. Southeast Berkely was also affected. The plot involves a fire chief who just got the position and once this fire starts, finds that he has his work cut out for him. Various plotlines involve several families escaping the fire and well as efforts to bring the fire under control. Similar movie to Fire! from 1977. Starring Jill Clayburgh, LeVar Burton, Michael Gross, Keone Young, and Jodi Long!

Footage of the actual evacuations and firefighting efforts were used in the film, hence the large number of grainy background cars.

Set from October 19th to the 23rd, 1991
Airdate: February 7th, 1993
