New Idea

The New Idea Farm Equipment Company was an agricultural equipment manufacturer based in Ohio founded by Joseph Oppenheim in 1899. The brand started with manure spreaders with Oppenheimer inventing the commonly seen modern "widespread" manure spreader.

The brand was later bought out by AGCO in 1993 with the long standing Coldwater, Ohio factory closing in 1999 and the New Idea brand becoming defunct in 2007.
