The Mercury Comet is an automobile that was produced by Mercury from 1962–1969 and 1971–1977.

The Comet was originally meant to be the 1960 Edsel Comet before Edsel was shut down in November 1959. The model was shifted to the Lincoln-Mercury division, where the Comet was its own brand for 1960 and 1961.
