Awesome movie. Saw it when it came out, and have since purchased the DVD. |

It is an Opel Blitz 3,6-36S (1937-44). |

Anyone else notice these have four headlights? There's two mounted low on the fenders and two more on top of the fenders. Sometimes an Opel will have the top headlights on, and the bottom ones off, other times it'll be the reverse, but I can't recall a scene where all four were turned on. |

Because the combination was never legal. In WWII-times only covered blackout light was allowed, while in peace times using these lights is forbidden (these are the actual Bundeswehr-versions: Link to "i.ebayimg.com" in the white cross: http://www.panzer-modell.de/referenz/in_detail/dingo/Bild238g.jpg ) |

So are the second pair of headlights on this and the Audi postwar additions? |

I think they're supposed to be "Nachtmarschgerät" night driving lights: Link to "www.kfzderwehrmacht.de" |
