The hood side emblem changed in 1980, and the (tilting) fiber glass hood, visible here thanks to the hood side strap, was available from 1973 onward??? The hood side emblem here is clearly not the one of a 1973-79 Chevrolet model, but the picture is a bit too blurry, for me, to allow to differentiate a 1973-79 GMC truck from a 1980-88 one or from a 1980-88 Chevrolet model.

The hood side emblem here is clearly not the one of a 1973-79 Chevrolet model, but the picture is a bit too blurry, for me, to allow to differentiate a 1973-79 GMC truck from a 1980-88 one or from a 1980-88 Chevrolet model.
