This is a 1948 to 1949 Checker A2 operated by the Empire Cab Company of New York City. At the time New York law banned trucks, this is why the Checker has a trunk rack. |

My mistake, its an A4, I did not notice the wrap around bumpers, the rear roof is rounder and lower than A6 and the windows are bigger than on an A3 |
