Were NS-Types built as late as 1929?? What came next?? There is also possibillity I'm misreading first letter on plate - G is best guess, but fairly sure of xU 98xx. |

What came next was the buses based on the Regent and Regal, (Double and Single deck resp), classes ST and STL for the early Regent. For some reason I cannot open any of the tables in Ian's Bus Stop, my isp cannot understand why, but all the detail chassis numbers and service dates for each individual bus will be there. This bus has solid tyres, so is unlikely to be as late as 1929. -- Last edit: 2016-10-07 19:02:04 |

Possible NS contenders... http://www.countrybus.org/NS/NS_a.htm#fleet XW 9802 NS 1657 (19??) - XW 9884 NS 1737 (1925) XU 6148 NS 1206 (19??) - XU 6197 NS 1658 (19??) GU not present I think, 98xx only in the XW series, |

XU was 1924, XW Oct 1924 to Feb 1925. Looked at footage again, and it definitely has General writing on front and side and is route 6 or 6a to Hackney Wick. But I can't really be confident about the plate letters, although will hang on to the 98xx as accurate, so late XW works as early 1925. |
